Our primary objective is to control and prevent keratoconus
and its effects within the Australian community. This involves
providing information and support for people with keratoconus
and their families. We can put you in contact with other people
with keratoconus to allow you to discuss your experiences, gain
insights into living and coping with your keratoconus or simply
to reassure you that your problems are common and (usually)
treatable.
We can also help you find optometrists and ophthalmologists
in your area who are experienced in treating keratoconus (you
will need to register your contact
details for this service).
If you are facing the prospect of a corneal graft, you might
want some reassurance from someone who has already had one (or
two).
We can also put you in touch with people who have had corneal
collagen crosslinking performed on one or both eyes.
Don't hesitate. We all have keratoconus and look forward to
assisting you in any way possible.
